"Licensor" shall mean the copyright owner or entity authorized by the copyright owner that is granting the License. "Legal Entity" shall mean the union of the acting entity and all other entities that control, are controlled by, or are under common control with that entity. For the purposes of this definition, "control" means (i) the power, direct or indirect, to cause the direction or management of such entity, whether by contract or otherwise, or (ii) ownership of fifty percent (50%) or more of the outstanding shares, or (iii) beneficial ownership of such entity. "You" (or "Your") shall mean an individual or Legal Entity exercising permissions granted by this License. "Source" form shall mean the preferred form for making modifications, including but not limited to software source code, documentation source, and configuration files.
"Object" form shall mean any form resulting from mechanical transformation or translation of a Source form, including but not limited to compiled object code, generated documentation, and conversions to other media types. "Work" shall mean the work of authorship, whether in Source or Object form, made available under the License, as indicated by a copyright notice that is included in or attached to the work (an example is provided in the Appendix below).
"Derivative Works" shall mean any work, whether in Source or Object form, that is based on (or derived from) the Work and for which the editorial revisions, annotations, elaborations, or other modifications represent, as a whole, an original work of authorship. For the purposes of this License, Derivative Works shall not include works that remain separable from, or merely link (or bind by name) to the interfaces of, the Work and Derivative Works thereof. "Contribution" shall mean any work of authorship, including the original version of the Work and any modifications or additions to that Work or Derivative Works thereof, that is intentionally submitted to Licensor for inclusion in the Work by the copyright owner or by an individual or Legal Entity authorized to submit on behalf of the copyright owner. If You institute patent litigation against any entity (including a cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that the Work or a Contribution incorporated within the Work constitutes direct or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses granted to You under this License for that Work shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed.
4.Redistribution. You may reproduce and distribute copies of the Work or Derivative Works thereof in any medium, with or without modifications, and in Source or Object form, provided that You meet the following conditions:
You must give any other recipients of the Work or Derivative Works a copy of this License; and You must cause any modified files to carry prominent notices stating that You changed the files; and You must retain, in the Source form of any Derivative Works that You distribute, all copyright, patent, trademark, and attribution notices from the Source form of the Work, excluding those notices that do not pertain to any part of the Derivative Works; and

The contents of the NOTICE file are for informational purposes only and do not modify the License. You may add Your own attribution notices within Derivative Works that You distribute, alongside or as an addendum to the NOTICE text from the Work, provided that such additional attribution notices cannot be construed as modifying the License. You may add Your own copyright statement to Your modifications and may provide additional or different license terms and conditions for use, reproduction, or distribution of Your modifications, or for any such Derivative Works as a whole, provided Your use, reproduction, and distribution of the Work otherwise complies with the conditions stated in this License.
5.Submission of Contributions. Unless You explicitly state otherwise, any Contribution intentionally submitted for inclusion in the Work by You to the Licensor shall be under the terms and conditions of this License, without any additional terms or conditions. Notwithstanding the above, nothing herein shall supersede or modify the terms of any separate license agreement you may have executed with Licensor regarding such Contributions.
6.Trademarks. This License does not grant permission to use the trade names, trademarks, service marks, or product names of the Licensor, except as required for reasonable and customary use in describing the origin of the Work and reproducing the content of the NOTICE file.
7.Disclaimer of Warranty. Unless required by applicable law or agreed to in writing, Licensor provides the Work (and each Contributor provides its Contributions) on an "AS IS" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, either express or implied, including, without limitation, any warranties or conditions of TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. You are solely responsible for determining the appropriateness of using or redistributing the Work and assume any risks associated with Your exercise of permissions under this License.
8.Limitation of Liability. In no event and under no legal theory, whether in tort (including negligence), contract, or otherwise, unless required by applicable law (such as deliberate and grossly negligent acts) or agreed to in writing, shall any Contributor be liable to You for damages, including any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages of any character arising as a result of this License or out of the use or inability to use the Work (including but not limited to damages for loss of goodwill, work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, or any and all other commercial damages or losses), even if such Contributor has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
9.Accepting Warranty or Additional Liability. While redistributing the Work or Derivative Works thereof, You may choose to offer, and charge a fee for, acceptance of support, warranty, indemnity, or other liability obligations and/or rights consistent with this License. However, in accepting such obligations, You may act only on Your own behalf and on Your sole responsibility, not on behalf of any other Contributor, and only if You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold each Contributor harmless for any liability incurred by, or claims asserted against, such Contributor by reason of your accepting any such warranty or additional liability.

Borrowing
How do I Borrow an item for my Design?
If you are logged in to Facebook, your list of friends will be created automatically from your friends who also play Design Home. Invite more friends for more Items to choose from when borrowing!
To borrow an Item for your design, tap on a Blue Bubble and then tap on “Borrow” at the top of the displayed Inventory. Here you can select a friend to borrow from.
Borrowing does not deduct a use of the borrowed Item from your friend. While designing your room in a Challenge using a borrowed Item, you may only preview one borrowed Item at a time. If you have a borrowed Item placed and then choose a second borrowed Item, the first will disappear.
What is Borrowing ?
You can borrow items when designing your room. You must link your Design Home account to Facebook in order to borrow items from friends.
Here are some important rules:
- You can borrow one inventory item per day. Note: You and your friends cannot borrow Diamonds, Keys, or Cash from each other.
- You can borrow inventory from the same friend once per day.
- Borrowing does not deduct a use of the borrowed item from your friend's or your own inventory.
- Borrowing does not limit you or your friend's ability to use the same item at the same time.
Why are all my friends listed as inactive and I can't borrow from them?
If you are not able to see friends in your borrow section or your friends list, please try the following steps.
- Go to your Facebook Settings
- Click Apps
- Locate Design Home and Tap Remove App
- Open your Design Home game, tap on the person/face icon at the bottom right hand corner
- Tap on the gear/settings icon
- Tap 'Sign Out'
- Force close your game
- Log back into Design Home using your linked Facebook.
When you log back into Design Home using your Facebook account, you will be asked to allow Design Home to access your basic profile information and your Friends list. Be sure that you allow Design Home to use your friends list in order to be able to see and borrow from your friends.
Why is my friend borrowing keys from me?
We apologize for the Key confusion. When a friend borrows an item it doesn't remove your Keys. You actually earn keys when a friend borrows from you!
Please Note the following below:
- You can borrow one Inventory Item per day. You cannot borrow the same Item from the same friend more than once.
- You or your friends cannot borrow diamonds, keys, or cash.
- You can borrow from the same friend once per day.
- Borrowing does not deduct a use of the borrowed Item from your friend or your own Inventory.
- You will earn 3 keys, for each Item borrowed from you and receive a notification when this occurs.
When you open Design Home, and see this notification, the keys have already been added to your currency at the top of the page so you will not see them change.
How do I block someone specific from Borrowing from me?
Unfortunately, at this time the only way to block people is to unfriend them on Facebook.
Unfriending Friend on Facebook
After you unfriend them, open Design Home.

To turn off borrowing, go into your Settings on Facebook, select Apps, then Design Home, and unselect “Friend list” under “Info you provide to this app”.
However, we would like to remind you that you lose nothing by having friends borrow from you. When a friend borrows from you, or you borrow from a friend, this does not deduct a use of the borrowed Item from your Inventory. Your Inventory remains intact!
How often may I Borrow an item?
You may borrow one Item per day. You cannot borrow the same Item from the same friend more than once. You can borrow the same Item from another friend if they own it.
How often may I Borrow from a friend?
You can borrow from the same friend once per day.
Clean Up Truck
What is The Clean Up Truck Challenge?
The Clean Up Truck is an event to help remove unwanted items from your inventory. This feature is available to all players who are level 16 and above.
The Clean Up Truck appears as a One Time event in your Live Challenge feed for a limited period of time.
On entry, you can select a limited number of items from your inventory you'd like to get rid of.
After completing the Challenge, the selected inventory items are removed from your inventory and you receive the Design Value of the items added to your overall Design Value.
How do I access The Clean Up Truck Challenge?
All players who are level 16 and above have access to the Clean Up Truck for the duration of the event, or until the Truck is filled and sent on its way.
We do not know the exact schedule of when the Clean up Truck Events are released. Please be on the lookout for more Clean Up Truck Events!
Where do I find The Clean Up Truck Challenge?
Look for the Truck Icon in the Live Challenge feed for the Clean Up Truck event.
Why is the Cleanup Truck appearing as Design Value instead of Cash Value?
The Clean Up Truck’s Design Value is set to the Cash or Diamond Value of the item(s) you picked from your inventory.
How many items do I get to remove from The Clean Up Truck Challenge?
The Clean Up Truck can hold up to 15 unwanted furniture and décor items. We may add more furniture slots in the future; please be on the lookout!
Why can't I access the Clean Up Truck challenge?
The Clean Up Truck is available once you reach level 16.
We do not know the exact schedule of when the Clean up Truck Events are released. Please be on the lookout for more Clean Up Truck Events!
Will there be voting in The Clean Up Truck Challenge?
There is no voting or score given for The Clean Up Truck Challenge.
How do I add the items into The Clean Up Truck Challenge?
Choose up to 15 furniture and decor items you'd like removed from your inventory. When you select FINISH, those items are removed from your inventory, and you will receive Design Value that is equivalent to Cash or Diamond value of the item.
Please Note: The Clean Up Truck event remains open until you submit the Challenge or the event expires. Any items that were not submitted but placed in the Clean Up Truck are returned to your Design Home inventory.
How much Design Value do I earn per item?
For each item you place in the Clean Up Truck, you receive the Cash or Diamond Value added to your total Design Value.
For example, if you placed a sofa that costs 3000 cash in the Clean Up Truck, once the Challenge is submitted, 3000 is added to your total Design Value. Increasing your Design Value helps you reach the next level faster.
This is the perfect opportunity to clean up your inventory while increasing your Design Value!
When will the next Clean up Truck event be released?
We do not have an exact schedule for when the next Clean Up Truck will be released.
We recommend that you check out the Live Challenges feed regularly, so you don’t miss out!
When I add an item to the Clean Up Truck, will I still have uses of my items left?
When an item is selected for the Clean Up Truck Challenge, it will take all the uses you currently have of the item and be removed from your Inventory. Please note that once you submit the Challenge, you will no longer be able to switch the items you would like to exchange.
I didn't receive my Cash or Diamonds after I added my items to the Clean Up Truck?
The Clean Up Truck does not award Cash but it DOES award Design Value to help reach your next Design Home level!
The Clean Up Truck’s value is set to the Cash or Diamond value; that becomes the overall Design Value that you earn for those items.
Why am I not seeing the Clean Up Truck on my Live Challenges page?
The Clean Up Truck will appear on the Live Challenges page. It is a random event and only available for a limited time.
You will have to be level 16 or above to see the event.
Why aren’t my Clean Up Truck items being multiplied by the overall uses of my items?
The Design Value you earn from the Clean Up Truck is set to the Cash or Diamond value of the items you submit. When you place an item in the Clean Up Truck, it will take all of the uses you currently have of the item.
Please note that the Design Value you earn will not be multiplied by the number of uses. If you have an item that cost 3000 diamonds, and you have 5 uses of that item, you will only receive 3000 Design Value for that item.
This will occur with all of the items that you submit in the Clean Up Truck.
Can I re-open the Clean Up Truck event to add more items after I have submitted the Clean Up Truck?
Once the Clean Up Truck Challenge is submitted, it is not possible to reopen or edit the event.

What's the difference between Diamonds and Cash?
The items you purchase in Design Home cost Diamonds or Cash. You can use your Cash to buy Inventory Items with the $ (Dollar Sign) underneath that Item, and alternatively, you can use your Diamonds to buy Inventory Items with the Diamond Symbol underneath.
If you run low on Diamonds, unfortunately, you will not be able to use your Cash to make up for the cost of an Item that costs Diamonds.

The Daily Reward arrives approximately 24 hours after you view your previous Daily Reward message. This reward includes 500 Diamonds and 20 Keys.
Please note that if you have the maximum amount of earned Keys, you will not receive the Keys from the Daily Reward.
How do I get Keys?
To earn more Keys, you can vote on other Design Challenge entries by tapping on the Thumbs- Up Icon, at the bottom center of your screen.
Each set of five votes earns you more Keys, up to the maximum of 75 keys. We also appreciate your voice as it adds to the Design Home community.
Where are my Keys located?
Your Keys now appear in the top right corner beside the Currency Bar.
To see the number of Keys you have, tap on the House Icon at the bottom of your screen. Your keys will appear when you're on the Challenges tab.

At this moment it is not currently possible to return or sell Items.
If I do not submit a design for a Challenge, will the Items be returned to my Inventory?
If you decide not to submit your Design for a Challenge, the Items you placed in the Challenge will return to your Inventory. If you purchased an Item while designing the Challenge, the currency will be deducted from your overall balance, and the Item will go into your Inventory.
Why am I asked to purchase an owned item?
When you purchase or win Items in Design Home, you have the ability to use the same Item five times in various Designs.
Please Note: After using an Item five times, you will have to re-purchase the Item again.

What are Limited Items?
The Limited Items that are available for purchase in Design Home will appear for a short time in-game.
For Example, the seasonal Wall Art and other Items sold for Valentines Day may no longer be available for purchase in July.
If you did purchase these Limited Items in Design Home, you can use these Items after the purchase period is over in the Premium Store. The number of uses that you have left will depend on how many times the Limited Item was purchased, when it was initially on sale.
Stock up on your favorite Limited Items while they are available. Remember to stay on the lookout for announcements about new Limited Items in the future!
How do I view my Inventory?
You can view your owned Items by tapping on the Person/Face icon in the lower right-hand corner in Design Home. Then tap on the Inventory tab, and scroll down to see all of the Inventory items you own.

To learn more about the brands that we work with and the real world items that you can purchase, simply tap on the Shopping Cart Icon in the bottom right hand corner, tap on any item, and then tap on "Brand" or "Website".
Why am I unable to use some of my owned Items when designing in a Challenge?
Some Challenges may require a specific sized Item.
For example: If you have a bed in your inventory that does not fit the sizing requirements, it may not appear as an option when designing a bedroom. Sometimes, the item will appear greyed out.
Why are some of my owned Dining Tables not appearing in my Challenges?
Some of our dining tables are categorized using different seating arrangements. Some tables will have 4 seats or 6 seats or even 8 seats.
This means that not all of your dining tables will appear for use even if there is a dining table requirement.

How will I know if my entered Challenge is in Voting?
The Challenge(s) you entered will have a banner at the top, with the following message "You Entered This Challenge."

Tablescaping
How many times can I use a Tablescaping item?
Great question! Tablescaping items can only be used once. However, if you use an Appetizer Plate, Dinner Plate, Charger Plate, Cutlery, Glassware, Napkin, or Placemat, each item will automatically fill the entire table.
If I buy an item for the table, will it fill the entire table for that bubble?
In Tablescaping Challenges, creating a beautiful table is made easy. When you place items like Appetizer Plates, Dinner Plates, Charger Plates, Cutlery, Glassware, Napkin, and Placemats, the entire table will be automatically filled.
Can I use the Table Art items from my inventory in Tablescaping Challenges?
No, Tablescaping Challenges require a new category of items called Table Art Decor. These decor items comprise centerpieces and candles and are specific to Tablescaping Challenges.
Can I change the chairs or dining table in the Tablescaping Challenges?
To give you a greater variety of challenge types and a fresh approach to designing, we kept Tablescaping Challenges separate from Interior or Exterior Challenges. As our Tablescaping Collection grows, we hope to offer a greater variety of table options to our players based on your feedback.

Seasons
What is the Season Event?
Seasons are exciting new events that each last for about three months! Each one introduces a fresh theme, beautiful new challenges, and incredible rewards. You can score Season Points by submitting Season Challenges, collect profile badges and special rewards along the way!
How do I become eligible for the Season Event?
Once you reach level 6, you'll immediately unlock the Season event and can start participating!
How do I access the Season event?
Seasons unlock upon reaching level 11 in-game. To access the Season Page, tap on the trophy just below the Design Pass button on the Challenge Feed, or via the Seasons Event button in the 'New & Noteworthy' section.
Where can I check my Season Challenges, Points, Rewards and Rank?
To check your current status and details for each Season Event, just tap on the Season Event in the 'New & Noteworthy' section, or by tapping on the trophy button below the Design Pass button on the Challenge feed.
How do I accumulate Season Points?
Season Points are earned by entering Season Challenges. Each point is equal to a star earned in your score for the Season Challenges you've entered over the course of the current Season. At the end of each Season, you collect your rewards and the Season Point total then resets for the next Season.
How do I know which Challenges would qualify for the Season Event?
Challenges that qualify for the current Season Event have a 'SEASON' tag visible on the Challenge in the Challenge feed.
What is the Season Tier system and how do I advance to the next tier?
Season Tiers are based on Season Points earned by entering Season Challenges. The more Season Challenges you enter, and the higher the score you earn on each, the more points you receive and the higher your tier will be.
Please note that it takes a bit of time to calculate and update your ranking to reflect recently scored Season Challenges. Rest assured that the final results will properly reflect all entered Challenges, though!
What is the difference between percentage and number rank?
During a Season, there are numerous ways to show off your skill and ranking. If you're at the very top of the rankings (Ranks 1-100), you'll be able to see your exact position. For players who don't quite have high enough Season Point totals to qualify for the top of the leaderboard, you can still see where you are in terms of the top 5%, 10%, 20% or 50% of players. So keep designing and enjoy the Season!
How do I claim my Season Rewards and how much time do I have?
As soon as the results for the last Season Challenge are available, if you qualify for a reward, the Season Event should display a 'CLAIM' banner with the number of days remaining to claim your reward. To actually claim the reward, just open the Season Page, select the REWARDS tab, and tap 'CLAIM' to collect your reward!
How long is a Season and when does it end?
Each Season lasts roughly three months, but you can also check the countdown timer displayed on the Season Event button in the 'New & Noteworthy' section, or at the top of the Season Page.
Why is there a color ring around the profile picture in Voting and an icon below it?
The icon below the profile picture indicates the player's current Season Tier, which is color-coded to the outline around their profile picture.
Where can I learn more about how the Season works?
In addition to these FAQ answers, you can access an information icon located in the right corner of the Season Page. Tapping on this icon will provide more details about how Seasons work.
